A 45-year-old German tourist was robbed and smashed in the face with a brick by two ladyboys on Jomtien Soi 5 at around 2 a.m. Friday morning.
Mr. Lutz Müller (that’s the name of the German victim) had initially not been quite sure himself what gender the two assailants were who left him with a disfigured face and a broken nose. Having described them as “ladies” or “perhaps ladyboys” at first it was only after the duo were arrested that they were identified as two katoeys.
Mr. Müller had reportedly been drinking with his Thai girlfriend in his room on Jomtien Soi 5 and gone out to have one for the road in a nearby bar when the two “ladies” chatted him up and invited him to a threesome. They allegedly got angry after the German repeatedly rejected the unasked-for proposal.
“Catching him off-guard,” Pattaya One report, one of the creatures brutally smashed the German in the face with a brick, knocking him unconscious for a moment, and stole 4,000 Baht from his trouser pockets before escaping on a motorcycle.
The tourist assumed the assailants were women but conceded that “perhaps [they] could have been ladyboys.”
Fortunately, the Boys in Brown did a good job this time and arrested the two attackers just a day later at a rented house in Pattaya. As was to be expected the duo were identified as two transgender sex workers, aged 20 and 21, who were probably no amateurs either.
