Eurowings to Bring Super-Low Airfares to Thailand

EurowingsGermany’s flag carrier Lufthansa, the largest airline in Europe, will soon offer super-low introductory airfares to Bangkok and Phuket when it launches its new low-cost, long-haul carrier Eurowings in October this year.
The Bangkok Post reports that the budget airline will initially serve Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport and Phuket, along with Dubai, Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Fares from Germany to Thailand will start at only 199.99 Euros (currently less than 7,200 Baht).
Eurowings will start its long-haul service with two Airbus A330-200 planes seating 310 from Cologne airport and copy a price model introduced by the Lufthansa’s Germanwings unit with a “basic, smart and best” fare.
Flights to Bangkok will later also depart from Berlin and Hamburg, as well as a number of European airports including London-Heathrow (fares starting at £229.99) with stopovers in Germany.
