A 45-year-old Turkish tourist was drugged and robbed by a Thai freelance prostitute he met on Walking Street Monday night.
The story began rather trivial when the Turkish man went for a night stroll down Walking Street and the 28-year-old woman chatted him up and offered to sell him sexual services. Business as usual. After they agreed on a price for boom boom, they made their way to the Sabay Wing Hotel on Pattaya 2nd Road where the Turkish tourist was staying.
But here’s a new twist to the story.
On the way to the hotel, the woman stopped to buy some, no, not cans of beer that she would spike with crumbled sleeping pills, but some “ice cream and sweets”, which the Turkish man with an obvious sweet tooth ate as he was sitting on the bed waiting for the woman to complete her shower.
He eventually lost his consciousness.and woke up only in the middle of the night – just to find that not only the woman but also the contents of his safety box had miraculously disappeared. A total of 2,500 Baht and 500 Euro in cash, as well as a necklace worth an estimated 1,500 Euro, are alleged to have been stolen by the woman.
Fortunately for the victim, the suspect had been required to produce her ID card at the hotel reception and could be identified as a 28-year-old from Udon Thani province. Police will also examine ice cream cups and bags of sweets that were found in the dust bin of the victim’s room to check for traces of whatever substance the woman used to drug the man.
