The three-day Pattaya International Music Festival, the purportedly “biggest open-air festival” in Southeast Asia and one of the main events in the Pattaya calendar, has finally come to an end late Sunday night.
Despite being a “scaled-down version of previous years”, with only two stages along Pattaya Beach Road, the 14th annual music festival once again made for a buzzing weekend and attracted tens of thousands of music lovers from Thailand and abroad.
Our friend in the image on the left-hand side apparently enjoyed the entertainment so much that he tore off his own shirt to wave it in the air and in return was awarded a free T-shirt of Pattaya’s top music event this year.
Pattaya One notes that an “average 80% capacity rate” was reported by local hotels over the festival weekend – a great success after an obvious premature arrival of the ever-longer “low season” lull.
Embedded below is an exclusive video (yeah it doesn’t feature the top acts and the sound quality is just as mediocre as it actually was) and a couple of pictures taken on Friday and Sunday night respectively.
