A 45-year-old Finnish tourist was reportedly stabbed by two Thai men near Soi Whitehouse in Jomtien just after midnight on Thursday.
Mr. Juha Kannales was initially treated by paramedics at the scene and then taken to a local hospital for further checks and treatment.
With the victim currently being unable to make a statement, the cause of the violent attack remains unknown. For now, all the police can do is examine CCTV footage in the area in an attempt to get to the bottom of what actually happened.
According to a bar girl quoted by Pattaya One News,
the victim [had pulled] up to her bar on his motorbike. He looked to be in an uncomfortable situation and as she approached, she noticed that he was bleeding very badly from his back.
Mr. Kannales told the witness that he had been attacked by two Thai men, but had managed to escape before they could do any further damage.
